Own a Piece of History
You have an unprecedented opportunity to own a piece of Milwaukee and Entertainment history that spans nearly 90 years. These original, 1927 Riverside Theater chair sets contain two chairs with ornate cast iron end caps that are built on a sturdy, 2x4 base and wrapped in carpet from the Riverside. The seats stand approximately 3 feet high and each seat cushion is wrapped in red velvet. All sets come with a certificate of authenticity. These sets of chairs are extremely limited. Only 60 sets of chairs are available. Once they are gone, they are gone.
Built before The Great Depression, these original seats have seen everything since the Riverside Theater was first constructed in 1927. Originally operated as an RKO Vaudeville house, the historic theater hosted acts like Abbott & Costello and The Three Stooges. For much of the 50s, 60s and 70s, it was a popular cinema and in the late 70s and 80s it was transformed into a Rock & Roll stage, hosting acts like Queen and James Brown. In 1962 the building was purchased by Milwaukee leader and philanthropist, Joseph Zilber, who saved the theater from being gutted and turned into office space. In 1984 the Riverside underwent a massive renovation and The Pabst Theater Group took over operations in 2005. In recent years, major acts like Neil Young, Diana Ross, Widespread Panic, Kevin Hart and Amy Schumer have graced the stage. The Riverside Theater is now experiencing its biggest heyday ever.
